Blackwell Capital Group Acquires Custom Production Grinding

APRIL 8, 2021 — Blackwell Capital Group, LLC, has acquired Custom Production Grinding, a Menomonee Falls, Wis.-based provider of high-precision cylindrical and surface grinding and honing of parts for manufacturers and machine shops.

“Custom Production Grinding is well known through the Midwest for its incredible ability to adhere to very tight tolerances in part profiles, and in meeting demanding deadlines,” said Steve Balistreri, managing director of Blackwell Capital Group. “We are looking forward to building upon that excellence, and to expanding Custom Production Grinding’s geographic reach and breadth of services.”

Experienced Leadership Remains

Custom Production Grinding has a highly experienced leadership in place, including Tom Amherdt, president; Greg Schoepke, CFO/controller; and Paul Champeau, general manager. The company’s shop floor staff also has extensive experience.

Tom Amherdt has joined Custom Production Grinding, Inc., as president and part-owner of the business.

The company operates in a climate-controlled 33,000-square-foot facility on Silver Spring Road, conveniently located just west of Interstate 41/Highway 45.

As part of the acquisition and growth plan, Custom Production Grinding has unveiled a new brand and a new website to display its capabilities.

“Custom Production Grinding is well known for its precision, and for doing what others can’t do,” Balistreri said. “Our new brand reflects that precision and confidence,” he added.

The website, at cpg1.com, shows the company’s capabilities, equipment, quality control, testimonials from customers, and a gallery with pictures of cylindrical and flat parts it has processed.
