Custom Production Grinding does one thing: precision grinding and honing of cylindrical parts, with surface grinding to match. Forty-plus grinding, honing, and hard turning machines run under one roof in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin — ten centerless machines, twelve Mitsubishi CNC OD grinders, ten Sunnen honing centers among them — working hardened steel, chrome-plated rod, and nickel alloys to tolerances of 0.0001 inch. Parts are inspected in two dedicated QC rooms with their own HVAC, under a quality system certified to ISO 9001:2015 by DNV. Machine shops send us their overflow and their tightest work. OEMs send us standing production. Both get the same result: parts that measure in your inspection room the way they measured in ours.

Major national OEMs with headquarters or operations in the Midwest and beyond, and other machine shops, recognized that value, and soon became regular customers of Custom Production Grinding. Those customers span industries such as automotive, agriculture, fluid handling, marine, and metering — along with other machine shops that need to subcontract grinding of parts to extremely tight tolerances.
Company Acquired in 2021
A new ownership group acquired the company at the start of 2021 – remaining committed to the vision and to further enhancing the company’s capabilities and service area. Our 33,000-square-foot facility gives us the room to take on larger operations, and we continue to invest in the equipment and people to grow the business.

Our location is conveniently close to Interstate 41/U.S. Highway 45 – providing efficient access to manufacturers throughout the metro Milwaukee area, southeastern Wisconsin, and elsewhere in the Midwest and beyond.

CPG Invests in Model 340-20 Cincinnati Centerless Thru-Feed Grinder
This investment has effectively doubled our previous centerless thru-feed capacity and is a testament to our ongoing commitment to quality and reliability for our customers. The new grinder is equipped with cutting-edge CNC Based Infeed/Thrufeed Controls, a Programmable 2-Axis Servo Grinding Wheel Dressing System, and an Indexing HPA-70 Magnetic Coolant Filtration System.
